The Sameuo U700 FullHD 2CH Dual is the 2CH Dual version with rear camera of the Sameuo U700. It is an excellent cylinder-shaped budget dashcam. By using the Sony IMX307 lens and Novatek 96672 chip, the images are of good quality during both day and night. Because the Sameuo U700 FullHD 2CH Dual is equipped with Wifi, the images can be easily viewed via your smartphone, and the 170˚ wide-angle lens captures a large area around the car.
The Sameuo U700 FullHD 2CH Dual comes with a 480p VGA rear camera. This second camera you place on the rear window (or other place in the car where you want to film) and connect with a long supplied cable of 6 meters to the front dashcam. The images of both cameras are stored separately on the Micro SD card in the front camera so you can easily retrieve them later.
Please note that the image quality of 480p at the rear is much less than at the front. It is therefore possible that license plates or people are less recognizable in these images.
The Sameuo U700 FullHD 2CH Dual films with FullHD 1080p resolution in 30fps at the front and VGA 480p resolution at the rear. The Sony IMX307 sensor captures everything in the surroundings and the Novatek 96672 chip is used to digitally process the images in the camera.
The U700 FullHD is equipped with 2.4 GHz Wifi. This makes it easy to view all images via your smartphone. Settings can also easily be changed via the App, which is necessary because the Sameuo U700 FullHD does not have an LCD screen. The Wifi has a range of about 10 meters. The App (TimaCam) is available for free in the iOS and Android App stores.
The body of the Sameuo U700 FullHD 2CH Dual is 360 degrees rotatable and can therefore always be aimed at the road but also inside to film the interior. The latter can be useful for cab drivers, for example.
The Sameuo U700 FullHD 2CH Dual comes with a convenient separate 3M holder that is attached to the window with the 3M double-sided sticker. The camera can be removed from the holder and reinserted in one sliding motion. This makes it easy to remove the dashcam from the car.
The Sameuo U700 FullHD 2CH Dual supports MicroSD cards up to 64gb, this allows about 12 hours in FullHD filming and about 8 hours with the rear camera connected.
The Sameuo U700 FullHD 2CH Dual has a wide-angle lens of 170 degrees at the front and rear, which allows a very large area around the car to be recorded. The large viewing angle does cause the image to be somewhat distorted at the sides.
The Sameuo U700 FullHD 2CH Dual dashcam automatically starts filming when the car is started and stops filming when the car is turned off. So you don't have to worry about it anymore when it's hanging in the car. Note that this switching is done using the voltage from the cigarette power supply. If the car also supplies power with the ignition turned off, the camera will not notice when the car is turned on and off and will continue to film continuously in that case.
